Synopsis

Season 4, Episode 4 of The Bear, titled "Worms", is a quiet, Sydney-centric day-off episode written by Ayo Edebiri and Lionel Boyce, and directed by Janicza Bravo.

Sydney Adamu takes a rare break from the intense stress of the kitchen. She visits her cousin Chantel (played by Danielle Deadwyler) to get her hair braided. While there, she bonds with Chantel’s 11-year-old daughter, TJ (Arion King), and goes food shopping to upgrade some simple Hamburger Helper with gummy worms and snacks.

At the same time, Sydney faces a major career crossroads. Chef Adam Shapiro (Adam Shapiro) recruits her to tour his lavish, brand-new restaurant space. Shapiro offers her creative control, personal development opportunities, and radical benefits like healthcare.
